Harvard Degree Verification Tool (H.D.V.T.)
What is this?
The Harvard Degree Verification Tool (H.D.V.T.) provides a quick and free way for recruiters and headhunters to quickly confirm whether a jobseeker has indeed graduated from Harvard University.
If you're a recruiter, it's likely a jobseeker has given you this link to prove their Harvard credentials. Simply type in the student's official name and click submit. No registration or login is required. If a record exists, H.D.V.T. will show the program and year the student graduated from Harvard.
By whose authority?
The integrity of this database is guaranteed by the President of Investment Industry Harvard Alumni (iiha.sigs.harvard.edu). Every entry in this database has been manually verified by the President against the official Harvard alumni directory.
Is every student that ever graduated from Harvard listed in this database?
No. Graduates must opt in to appear in the H.D.V.T.
I'm a Harvard alumni, how come I can't find myself on this list?
You have to opt in separately to H.D.V.T. by emailing glenntam@alumni.harvard.edu with your student name. Harvard alumni from any school or faculty are eligible.
Does spelling matter?
H.D.V.T. only matches the student's exact official name, as it appears on the official alumni directory. If you are a recruiter/headhunter trying to enter a student's name and there's any ambiguity, you should ask the jobseeker for their official student name.
